MOSCOW OFFICE CELEBRATES NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2009

“Lights on Means Lights Out For Crime” – Moscow residents and businesses were asked to show their support for crime prevention at the 6th Annual National Night Out on August 4th by lighting up their homes and places of business.

The CENTURY 21 Select Group Moscow Office participated once again by providing a beautiful “Homeowner’s Basket” for the tricky tray drawing.  The basket worth approximately $150 contained items such as energy-saving lights bulbs, stud finder, screwdrivers, measuring tape, and other necessary items any homeowner would need in their home.  Each participant was given raffle tickets to hand out as folks visited their business.  The drawing closed the evening’s festivities at the Moscow Borough Building.  As an added bonus, the Moscow staff gave candy to children and adults alike as they picked up their tickets.

A professional juggler performing in the parking lot was a major draw to families passing by.  Terri and Larry Ditty, Gloria DiCindio, and Ellie Wilson enjoyed greeting the neighborhood families and participating in this worthwhile community event.

Brightly colored beach balls with Century 21 Select Group’s and Buddy Vail’s ILOVEMASTHOPE.COM website information peppered the field and Century21 water bottles where given out.  Manager Rocco Chierichella and Louis Cerulli MC’d the event.  Music played while guests hit home runs. Hot Dogs, hamburgers, water and soda were served and donations were accepted for the Wounded Warriors Foundation.  $560 was raised for the charity. 1st Annual Masthope Charity Softball Homerund Derby

By Tom Bradley – Century 21 Select Group Lake Harmony

The Lake Harmony office of the CENTURY 21 Select Group continued and expanded its on-going support for local golf tournament/fundraising events.  By supporting the efforts made by local volunteer organizations, the office is able to give back to the people who volunteer and work in these vitally needed services.  It also makes it possible for the people playing in the tournament to win some money if they are lucky or skillful enough to make the shot needed to win the contests.

The real estate office has long been the sponsor of the Hole-in-One contests on all of the Par 3 holes at the Lake Harmony Volunteer Fire Company Tournament held every year at Split Rock Resort and Country Club in Lake Harmony; and, for the last three years, has also done the same for the Lake Harmony Watershed Preservation Group’s Tournament which was held at Mountain Laurel Golf Club in White Haven this year.  The Hole-in-One contest provides prizes such as a vacation package, and electronics package or a set of golf clubs on three of the Par 3 holes for any hole-in-one made by one of the event’s participants.  The featured Par 3 hole has a $10,000 prize for any lucky golfer who manages to make the elusive golf shot known as the ACE.

The Lake Harmony office has decided to also support the First Annual St Peter the Fisherman’s Golf Tournament to be held at Split Rock by sponsoring their Hole-in-One contest.  Two of the REALTORS® in that office, Tom and Joyce Bradley, are personally sponsoring a long putt contest as a new wrinkle on ways to both raise money and provide some fun for the participants.  Players can partake in a pre-event contest to see who comes closest to making a long putt.  The top four putters (making the putt or closest to the hole) will receive prizes and the winner will get a chance to make a fifty foot putt during the post-event luncheon for a $2500 prize!  Players can take as many chances as they wish at $5 per putt in the qualifying rounds but the cash prize putt will be a one putt only shot at the money.  This should also provide a lot of excitement for all attendees as they will be able to watch and root for the winner from the dining room balcony (talk about a pressure putt!!).  In another example of Tournament support, Tom and Joyce have been long time Silver Sponsors of the St Joseph’s Regional Academy Tournament held every year Blue Ridge Country Club in Palmerton.

All of these Tournaments are fun events with great golf, great camaraderie, great food and the opportunity to show your support for the organizations involved.  Plan on participating yourself at the next one held, you’ll be glad you did.
